Grêmio ends a fast of victories and approaches the G4 of Serie B

Grêmio ended an uncomfortable fast for Serie B of the Brazilian Championship. After a sequence of five consecutive matches without triumphs (four draws and one defeat) Tricolor beat Novorizontino 2-0 on Tuesday night in Porto Alegre.Grêmio ends a fast of victories and approaches the G4 of Serie B

With this result, the team led by coach Roger Machado reaches the 5th position with 17 points. Aurinegro remains with 14 points, now in 7th position.

Grêmio’s victory was obtained thanks to goals from Diego Souza, in a penalty kick moments before the break, and from Janderson in the 12th minute of the final stage after receiving a letter from Gabriel Teixeira.

The Porto Alegre team’s next commitment is against Sport, on Monday (13) at Ilha do Retiro. The day before, Novorizontino faces Guarani.
