The president assured that the vacancy process is due to the fact that “a minority does not accept the electoral results and they have sought to undermine the popular will.” “They never accepted that a peasant, patrolman and teacher lead the nation and promote structural changes in the country. The objective is to evacuate the president without any support and with absolute irresponsibility, “he said.
In addition, he considered it an undemocratic act and that, in addition, they seek to link him with “discredited and corrupt politicians of yesteryear” to tarnish his honor and reputation. “They have sought to associate the government with acts of corruption. I condemn and dismiss any act of corruption, “he insisted.
On the subject, and in clear allusion to his former presidential secretary Bruno Pacheco, he said that “all people who betray their trust and take advantage of the position must be investigated and sanctioned in an exemplary manner by justice.”

EARTHQUAKE IN AMAZON
Regarding the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that mainly affected the Amazon region, the president announced that that region and Cajamarca, Loreto and San Martín will be declared in a state of emergency. “My government is focused on serving the affected populations. From the first moment I have directed the actions from the field, we will not rest until all those affected recover their dignified life, “he said.
