No matter where he was born, Petro won Zipaquirá and Ciénaga in the first round

Robledo questioned Petro for considering that he is lying about his place of birth to win votes on the Caribbean coast, since the slogan “costeño votes costeño” has been repeated a lot.

Regardless of this controversy, the voters of these two municipalities seem to care little about the birthplace of Petro, given that in the first round the candidate of the Historical Pact won both Zipaquirá and Ciénaga de Oro.

According to the data of the pre-count of the Registry, in Ciénaga de Oro, Petro and Francia Márquez obtained 54% of the total number of votes, representing 21,037 votes. For his part, in that municipality of Magdalena, Rodolfo Hernández had 20.94%, which is equivalent to 8,054 votes.

In the case of Zipaquirá, Petro had 46%, that is, 33,192 votes, compared to 24,919 (35%) votes for engineer Rodolfo Hernández.

Given the confusion, this Monday morning, the presidential candidate spoke with La FM and assured that he was born in swamp of goldbut Zipaquirá grew and grew.
