The National Confederation of Organizations of Transportation (conatra) rejected this Monday the implementation of cooperatives of transportation “closed”, as he stated that they intend to allow authorities to benefit a driver leader.
Mario Díaz, spokesman for the consortium, considered it inadmissible that there is partiality from the National Palace and that “favors” are being granted to sectors of the transportation in violation of law 63-17 of traffic and mobility.
“We call on drivers from other unions not to accept the implementation of cooperatives of transportation “closed”, because their affiliates would lose the rights acquired in the shifts of the routes,” said Díaz.
He exhorted the drivers and carriers affiliated with the different unions not to allow themselves to be surprised in their good faith and to categorically reject the implementation of closed cooperatives in the new runners.
Díaz assured that because they are allies to the Government “they are being mistreated from the top of the State”, and that an example of this is the discrimination in the distribution of the subsidy of the fuels“because they only give us 50 percent when they give other groups 100 percent.”
He asked President Luis Abinader to thoroughly review the actions of the officials around him who are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the new runners of buses .
