Abel assures Northwest Line also suffers impact of crime and insecurity

Abel Martínez, aspirante presidencial del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana

Valverde.- The presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) Abel Martínez demonstrated the strength of the structures that support his presidential project on the Northwest Line, during four activities in which he swore in the provincial teams, making strong questions to the current government authorities.

In each of his speeches, Martínez expressed the need to convincingly win the official candidacy, so that later, together with the entire political structure of the party and the thousands of Dominicans who yearn for a country of opportunities and citizen security, work tirelessly to get of the Palace to those who represent setbacks, indolence, improvisation and incapacity.

“The producers of the Northwest Line are not only suffering from the indolence of some authorities who have turned their backs on the countryside that does not produce the food that we bring to our tables, but also, since they are not paid either, they have caused the bankruptcy of many small and medium-sized agricultural entrepreneurs, which translates into unemployment and food shortages in the family basket,” said Martínez.

The political leader stated that what the Government has defined as “sensation” is lived in a desperate way in the four cardinal points of the country.

“Everywhere is the cry to heaven with common crime: robberies, assaults, armed robbery in establishments, but they also steal cattle, enter houses, gag and rape our women and that is not resolved by talking about sensations . The real feeling that exists is the real failure of effective policies and actions in terms of citizen security. Every day we have more unemployment and lack of opportunities for the most vulnerable. They are pulling youth to commit crimes and we had warned about that months ago, that this government was pushing youth into the streets,” Abel said.

The presidential candidate assured that “one cannot speak of fighting crime without a comprehensive plan of positive intervention in the country’s neighborhoods and neuralgic sectors to work on prevention, entrepreneurship opportunities for young people and women, because we are convinced that prevention will always be better than chase and mourn. We cannot simply do a momentary cleanup if we do not work on prevention.”

Martínez demonstrated the strength of his political structures by holding four impressive provincial swearing-ins, in which he urged his leaders to continue working tirelessly to win the PLD’s internal contest with more than 80% of the vote.
