In the last month it was announced that the Colombian company Tecnoglass would go public on the New York Stock Exchange. This made it the first national company to be accepted on the two largest stock exchanges in the world.

Now, one of your engineers, Diana Lohrer, was in charge of ringing the bell that indicates the start of operations on Wall Street. The Colombian is currently the Quality Director of Tecnoglass, where she has worked for 26 years.
“Precisely on that day, June 6, and as if it were a wonderful coincidence, I am 26 years old since I came to the company”, highlighted the woman according to EL TIEMPO.
Lohrer is an industrial engineer from the Universidad del Norte, has two children and her first job was in the company that is currently the second largest glass manufacturer in the United States.
For now, Diana is in charge of guaranteeing that the company’s products reach the customer of the best quality and comply with all national and international market standards.
In turn, the woman from Barranquilla has been part of the team that has manufactured iconic structures in the architectural industry of the United States. Among them are the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, a building with more than 300 meters highand Via 57 West, a pyramidal apartment tower in New York.
For Lohrer, the fact of ringing the bell on Wall Street is a sign of “acknowledgment to the women of the company that we are many and very capable”.

The bell was this Monday June 6 at 9:30 am, New York time, together with José Manuel and Christian Daes, leaders of Tecnoglass. This is a symbolic act that marks an important guideline for the industry in Colombia.
