Santiago.- President Luis Abinader delivered this Sunday 1,176 property title certificates to the same number of families who as of today own their land in the community of Hato del Yaque and the municipal district of La Canela.
In an extraordinary work of the Executing Technical Unit of State Land Titling, the current administration of the government has delivered, in one year and ten months, approximately 26,600 title certificates, more than 50% of those that were delivered in the first eight years of the institution.
This undoubtedly reflects the government’s compliance with bringing certainty, peace and tranquility to thousands of families who become owners of their homes and plots.

“You now begin a new stage, one with greater security and certainty in which your right is a reality and there is no turning back,” said the President.
He also urged the entire community not to be afraid to complete their files so that, like the more than 26,000 beneficiaries who already have their property title, they can be the owners of their land.
“From here I appeal to the community to trust in the process, to open their doors to us and we can successfully complete all the procedures to grant them what is theirs: their title.”
While the director of the UTECT, Mérido Torres, told those present that “from this moment they are going to begin a real change in their lives, the change that President Abinader offered and that today we are making them a reality with the delivery of these certificates”.
He also added that last week the titling project began in La Ciénaga, which he described as the most important of all and that he never thought would be possible. Similarly, work is being done to extend the delivery of titles to Montecristi.
With evident gratitude, community member José Alberto Martínez Mejía stated that the president is transforming the country, not only handing over property titles but also fixing and building new homes for the most dispossessed.
The plots, lots and titled houses are distributed in the Los Jiménez, La Mina, Ens sectors. Mirabal Sisters, La Paz, La Rinconada and Praderas del Yaque of the Hato del Yaque Municipal District and Sabana Grande Batey and Los Almácigos, La Canela Municipal District, Santiago province.
