Aguascalientes, Ags., The candidate of the PRI-PAN-PRD coalition, Teresa Jiménez, declared herself the winner of the contest for the governorship of the entity, shortly after the polls closed, with a favorable and irreversible trendwhich has been confirmed by the system of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP).

At the close of the edition, with 88.8 percent of the tally sheets, Jiménez surpassed Morena’s candidate, Nora Ruvalcaba, by obtaining 53.5 percent of the vote, against 33.6 percent of the icing party’s standard-bearer.

In numbers, Jiménez had 226 thousand 252 votes, against 142 thousand 176 of the morenista; that is, a difference of more than 84 thousand votes.

However, Ruvalcaba had not accepted the defeat and in a message on social networks said he was in waiting for the results of the electoral authority. He added that they must defend each vote and each box with all our might until the polls are secure.

Likewise, Alejandro Peña, senator from Morena, commented that the PAN knows how to do fraud, as it already demonstrated in 2006so they are going to be very aware of each one of the polling stations and the follow-up of the electoral packages, and insisted that there was a strong police persecution in recent days against militants and supporters of Morena.

The morenista deputy Leonel Godoy specified that they filed 250 complaints for various irregularities, especially actions by the municipal police against militants and sympathizers who came from other states to support the election.

Yesterday even the local deputy for the state of Mexico, Isaac Montoya Márquez, was arrested, whom the municipal police arrested on charges that they could not prove, but in any case, the agent of the Public Ministry decided that he be detained for 24 hours, but in the face of complaints from federal lawmakers promised to release him by afternoon.

We already won!

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., at a press conference, Teresa Jiménez insisted that her victory could not be reversed.

Accompanied by the state leaders of the three parties that supported her, she assured that according to her data, a historic vote was given, with a difference of more than two digits.

We already won!exclaimed the 37-year-old candidate, after a speech in which she thanked God, her family and the people who trusted her, and stressed that she wants to be the best governor of Aguascalientes and the entire country.

Later, at the PAN headquarters, the celebration began at 8:00 p.m. Jiménez made an acknowledgment to Antonio Martín del Campo, senator for his party, who was his contender in the internal election of the blue and white.

The electoral process began with very little influx of voters. In the morning, the voting booths were empty and although PAN senator Kenia López commented that she hoped that later people would turn out, since normally in Aguascalientes they first go to mass, have lunch and then show up to voteabstentionism reigned during the day.

The president of the General Council of the State Electoral Institute, Luis Fernando Landeros Ortiz, reported that the vote did not exceed 50 percent of the list.

With the data received at 8:00 p.m., citizen participation is between 43.7 and 46.8 percentaccurate.
