A protest by long-distance bus drivers caused significant delays on Monday morning on the Buenos Aires-La Plata highway, heading to the city of Buenos Aires.
The partial cut occurs at kilometer 7 of the highway and generates delays of more than 3 kilometers.
The demonstrators demand that the authorities authorize them to work since, due to the age of the units, they cannot circulate to transport passengers.
In addition to the cut, reduced visibility due to fog is recorded in the area.
One of the protest spokespersons, Ariel PorceHe stated thatl claim “takes more than a year” and warned that will stay in place with their microphones “whatever is needed”until you get a response to your demands.
“We continue to ask for the useful life of the units,” said Porciel.
The spokesman also explained that the driverss are not requesting “money or plans” but “two years of time to be able to renew” their units.
“Today we need an answer and the answer is that they are going to repress us and force us out,” Porciel said.
