At 10 in the morning of this Monday, November 29, the San Miguelito Prosecutor’s Office took Yeísmo Possu Mera before a judge of guarantees, linked to the murder Agustín Lara, deputy director of the Public Registry, murdered on November 14, in Los Andes # 2.
The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that it will request the imputation of charges and the corresponding precautionary measure.
However, the lawyer Sarai Bleisdell, defense of Possu Mera, stated upon her arrival at the San Miguelito Accusatory Penal System, that they will accept the multiple hearing and each of its phases.
He added that, “for a guarantee judge to justify an arrest, imputation and arrest warrant, there must be a direct link to the facts, and, in that sense, there is only field evidence and protected witnesses.”
The lawyer asked the authorities to find whoever committed the crime and not who paid for the murder of the official.
On the other hand, about where Possu Mera was on the day of the murder, Bleisdell explained that the rule of evidence was previously confession and now it is technology, for which he considers, without giving further details, that his client has the advantage to be able to verify His innocence.
Regarding the reward of 10 thousand dollars offered by the authorities, the lawyer mentioned that she hopes that the money will be delivered to the SOS Children’s Villages, Hogares Crea and children with leukemia and cancer.
