After the sudden departure of Matthias Kulfas of the Ministry of Productive Development of the Nation, the Government of Alberto Fernández announced the name of the person who will be in charge of this federal portfolio from now on.
According to information shared this Saturday by the Clarín newspaper, which cites government authorities, former Governor Daniel Scioli will be the one to replace the dismissed man in office. Minister Matthias Kulfas.
Apparently, it was the President of the Republic himself who offered Scioli the position this afternoon in Los Olivos, after the two held a telephone meeting after the departure of Matthias Kulfas of the Ministry.
In this same way, but a few hours before, Alberto Fernández had asked Kulfas to resign from the Productive Development portfolio.
The inauguration of the Argentine ambassador in Brazil is expected to take place next week, after Alberto Fernández returns from his trip to Los Angeles, where he will participate in the Summit of the Americas.
Why Kulfas resigned from the Development portfolio
The separation of political of the Productive Development portfolio occurs just a few hours after the Vice President of the Republic, Cristina Fernández, published on Twitter a series of messages “allegedly disseminated by the office managed by Kulfas” in which she and others were attacked officials affected by CFK.
According to the vice president, the press office of the Development office had spread “false information” in which she and officials from ENARSA (Energía Argentina Sociedad Anónima) were accused of “having put together a supposed package of tenders as of Techint” to buy the necessary materials for the construction of the Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline. An accusation that wants both offices was denied.
Faced with this situation, the head of government was forced to request the resignation of Matthias Kulfas to support the vice president and the public entity.
