Covid-19: Brazil registers 92 deaths in 24 hours

Brazil recorded over 4,043 cases of covid-19 and 92 deaths in 24 hours, according to the epidemiological update released by the Ministry of Health this evening (28). Overall, the country had 22,080,906 cases of covid-19, with 614,278 deaths.Covid-19: Brazil registers 92 deaths in 24 hours

The recovery rate is 96.4% – the highest recorded so far. More than 21.29 million people are considered free from the new coronavirus infection.

The bulletin also shows 173,314 active covid-19 cases, which are under medical care and were reported to the National Health System (SUS).

There are 2,851 deaths due to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SRAG) under investigation. This is because, in many cases, the analysis of the cause of death continues even after death.

States

on top of ranking of deaths by state, are São Paulo (154.002), Rio de Janeiro (69,024), Minas Gerais (56,163), Paraná (40,772) and Rio Grande do Sul (36,077).

The states that registered the least covid-19 deaths were Acre (1846), Amapá (2,002) and Roraima (2,050).

Vaccination

The Ministry of Health’s national vaccination panel remains out of date since Thursday (25), 306,982,366 doses of immunizing agents applied throughout Brazil, with 364,177,468 doses distributed among all states and the Federal District.
