“So that, duly substantiating and motivating, we explain why we need these resources to guarantee the process. And there I hope that, indeed, the authorities are sensitive and give us those resources that we will have to spend on fulfilling the rights of citizens, “he said.
Congress awaits budget proposal
In an interview, Valentina Batres, president of the Budget and Public Account Commission of the Congress of Mexico City said that although the IECM has not sent its formal spending proposal for 2022, at the working meeting that will be held this 1 of December, the presiding counselor must state the reasons why the 1,955 million pesos are requested.
However, the morenista said that the appearance of the president of the electoral body Patricia Avendaño will only be explanatory on the budgetary needs, since the local Executive still needs to send its income and expenses project and on this, the resource may be allocated to 2022, although he hinted that the IECM must “tighten its belt” next year.

The PAN deputy Federico Döring, a member of said commission, questioned whether the IECM is fighting for the budget for the revocation of the mandate in the event that the congress decides not to grant resources for the exercise.
