The social organizations of the municipality of Cuatro Cañadas lifted this morning the blockade of roads that, for five days, kept the route that It links Santa Cruz de la Sierra with the department of Beni and various production centers in the region.
The pressure measure was lifted after an arduous negotiation of technicians and secretaries of the Santa Cruz government with leaders of the Federations of Intercultural Communitiess and social organizations of Cuatro Cañadas, in addition to authorities of that municipal administration.
After eight hours of debate and controversial discussions that took place at the Center for Environmental Education (CEA) of Santa Cruz, the agreement of 14 points was signed by Governor Luis Fernando Camacho and the mayor of Cuatro Cañadas, Hugo Gutiérrez.
Camacho assumed the commitment to distribute 1,185 food bags to 237 older adults in the municipality and agreed to carry out a technical-legal analysis to “coordinate balances and determine royalties” derived from the Direct Tax on Hydrocarbons for Cuatro Cañadas.
A schedule was also set for the maintenance and inspection of the roads thatused by the producers of the municipality and deadlines were established for the preparation of the Cuarto Cañadas – Puerto Pacay road project.
The Departmental Highway Service (Sedcam) committed to signing a agreement with the Mayor’s Office of Cuatro Cañadas to make available to said municipality dump trucks for the transport of gravel and the maintenance of its routes for an amount of up to Bs 95 thousand.
On the health issue, items will be jointly requested from the central government and work will be done on the construction of a health center for this municipality.
Likewise, the procedures for the provision of legal status to the social organizations of that municipality will be analyzed.

Thank our secretaries, but above all those who put their grain of sand to put on the table the real situations that Cuatro Cañadas has based on the jurisdiction of the Government, “Camacho said this morning.
The blockade was lifted a few hours after the start of the Guarayos livestock fair. The event will take place throughout this weekend.
