A guided walk through downtown São Paulo introduces you to the city’s historic landmarks. The tour is based on the triangle formed by the constructions of three religious orders that played a fundamental role in the first centuries of the city’s existence: the Benedictines, the Franciscans and the Carmelites.
The Guided Tour through the Historic Center has already received more than 3 thousand visitors since 2019, and will be held again from June. It takes about two hours to walk through places, buildings and monuments of great importance in the formation of São Paulo, which were relevant in different periods of the country’s history, from the time of the colony to the republic.
The tour starts at the mall next to São Bento subway station, goes towards Pateo do Collegio, passes through Solar da Marquesa de Santos, Largo São Francisco, Largo do Café and the São Bento Monastery.
The meeting point is Praça da Colmeia, inside the São Bento Metro Patio. The tour starts on Saturday at 11am, but tickets start being distributed half an hour before. The maximum number of participants is 20 people.
The free itinerary is an initiative of Pátio Metrô São Bento in partnership with a group of tour guides Caminhos do Triângulo.
In June, the tour will take place on the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. In July, on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. In August, on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.
