The deputy manager of electoral investigation of the ONPE, José Carlos Urbina, indicated to this medium that more than 3.4 million citizens, until the afternoon of June 3, had already chosen their polling place.

After the deadline has expired, you will no longer be able to choose where to vote because you must publish the electoral register. The initial deadline was June 3.

At 7:00 pm on June 3, 3,522,219 people from all over the country had selected the options of their choice using the “Choose your polling place” application, which they can use from a computer or cell phone.

Can I change my address when I go to choose my polling place?

The ONPE official, José Carlos Urbina, explained that the last elections were general and the President and members of Congress were elected, so people could choose another district within the region where they reside or indicate their DNI. Instead, now it is about regional and municipal elections, so you must vote only in the district in which you live or indicate the DNI, according to the list that closed in October 2021.

CAN I USE MY EMAIL TO CHOOSE A FAMILY MEMBER’S LOCAL VOTING?

To choose your polling place you must have your last DNI issued and follow these steps:

WHEN WILL I KNOW WHICH MY POLLING LOCATION WILL BE?

In the month of September, the 24 million 760 thousand 62 voters will be able to know where they have to vote.
