Claro reported that SMS can be sent free of charge to any fixed and mobile operator nationwide from today, Sunday, November 28, until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
In addition, they reported that the earthquake generated a massive power outage, affecting some base stations (antennas) in some areas of Amazonas, Cajamarca, Trujillo and Tarapoto.

He added that the battery banks immediately went into operation and crews with generator sets were mobilized to keep the stations operational while commercial power is reestablished in those areas.
For its part, Movistar indicated that it will not only deliver unlimited SMS in Amazonas, but also to its clients located in the Cajamarca and San Martín regions.
In the same way, he announced that unlimited SMS are enabled from noon on November 28 to December 1, both dates inclusive.
Both operators called on the population to avoid telephone calls so as not to congest the network. Instead, they opt for alternative means like SMS or the Internet.
On the other hand, Entel announced that it has released its SMS service for its prepaid and postpaid clients in the Amazon region, from November 28 to December 1, for national destinations, except rural and satellite.
Finally, Bitel also enabled the same benefit for its clients in Amazonas until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1.
