The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Félix Chero, considered that the broadcast audio involving the head of Congress, Maria del Carmen Alva (Popular Action), shows that there is a “systematic plan” to vacate the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.
Speaking to journalists, he indicated that it cannot be “disguise reality” and that due to “distractions” in situations of conflict and confrontation “Nothing is being done for the great needs of the country and for Peruvians”.
“They show public opinion that there are indeed political intentions of wanting to vacate the President of the Republic and we cannot disguise reality here, we cannot disguise that a comment of a constitutional nature was being made because the meaning of the messages is totally different: a systematic plan to try to vacate the President of the Republic and that is not democratic”he expressed.
“The president was elected for a period of five years, the Congress was elected for five years, what are we doing in those five years? Distract ourselves in situations of conflict and confrontation, but we are not doing anything for the great needs of the country and for Peruvians. A food crisis is coming, we have not paid attention to this “he added.
In that sense, Chero denied that Castle Lumps has considered resigning from office and said that he is aware that he has been elected for a period of five years and cannot “disappointing the expectations of the people”.
“Of course not (he has considered resigning), the President of the Republic is aware that he is acting in response to the needs of the population and that he has been elected for a constitutional period of five years and that he is governing for the people who elected him. . He cannot disappoint the people’s expectations.”he underlined.
Finally, the head of the Minjusdh remarked that he does not put his hands on the fire for anyone and that the former Minister of Transport and Communications John Silva will have to answer for his actions after the broadcast of the transcript of an audio of the businessman Zamir Villaverde and that implicates him in the payment of an alleged bribe.
“I do not know Juan Silva, I am responsible for my acts and for the acts of the Council of Ministers where we take collegiate agreements. I do not put my hands on the fire for anyone and former Minister Silva is being investigated, he will surely defend himself with his lawyers and he will be responsible for the acts of investigation that have occurred in the time that he has held office “sentenced.
