rapid transit

One of the questions that comes up a lot in a country that has its highways completely busy during the morning hours and at the end of the working day, is that this country, which has had great experience in trains for a long time, has not yet modernized its systems, making it possible to cover large distances from east to west with high-speed trains, as Europeans have for a long time.

The only reason to explain this circumstance is that there is a powerful lobby from the oil sector and also – why not – from car manufacturers, who are opposed to transforming the mass transportation model in this country.

A high-speed train between Los Angeles and New York had been promised, which in a plane trip can easily take six hours, has not progressed much, we explained the reasons, but certainly, a country of more than 400 million inhabitants must search for a formula that makes the environment -in a certain way- grateful, and the many who have to spend hours at a wheel driving distances from their homes to their places of employment.

It is too simple and successful experiences.
