The above means 0.78% more than that registered in the same month of 2021, when it was 745,488.
According to the entity, and with data from the National Hydrocarbons Agency, “oil production fell by 0.01% compared to the previous month, reaching 751,322 bopd.”

For Minminas, “this decrease was due to electrical faults in the Caño Limón field in Arauquita, Arauca, and due to the blockages that occurred in the La Cira and Infantas fields in Barrancabermeja, Santander.”
“In April 51 wells were drilled, of which three were exploratory and 48 in development. As of April, 228 wells have been drilled this year: 212 in development and 16 in exploration,” the entity said.

Regarding the production of commercialized gas, it was indicated that the latter reached 1,100.15 million cubic feet per day (mcfd), which means an increase of 4.04%, compared to the same month in 2021.
Minminas indicated that “if the production of April 2022 is compared with that of March of the same year, there is evidence of a growth of 2.02%, going from 1,078.31 mcfd to 1,100.15 mcfd.”
“The increase was mainly explained by the reestablishment in the production of the Floreña Mirador field, as well as the good performance of the Chuchupa (Manaure – La Guajira), Cupiagua Sur (Aguazul – Casanare), Floreña Mirador (Yopal – Casanare) fields. , Tambourine (Caimito – Sucre), and Grapefruit (Pueblo Nuevo – Córdoba)”, the entity said.
