99% of the total income from remittances in the first quarter of 2022 was made through electronic transfers; 0.7% was made in cash, and 0.3% of shipments were made through money orders.
The average remittance that has been sent to the country has been 383 dollars per operation, which means an increase of 6.5% compared to what was sent last year.
In the last twelve months (from May 2021 to April 2022), remittances totaled a record amount of 54,162 million dollars.
