Dr. Fernando Cebamanos, who is a member of the Broad Front for Democracy (FAD), referred to the first phase of the electoral calendar that consists of the registration before the Electoral Court of the candidates for popular election positions for the free application that began from Wednesday June 1 to July 31.
He mentioned the manual issued by the TE and that has a number of requirements for candidates for free application positions, stating that they will take their time and require a lot of individual commitment such as a logo that identifies them, a government plan, etc. “This is very laborious and will eliminate many applicants to be candidates for free application along the way,” she said.
He added that the TE has not yet indicated the number of signatures that must be collected.
“The issue here is the anti-democratic nature of this Electoral Court, its Electoral Code and these norms that they frequently issue for the fulfillment that they establish; these are norms that are not in the Electoral Code, but that they create and do not do in the best way,” said Cebamanos.
