Faced with the crisis due to a shortage of diesel, for more than two months in almost the entire country, and the criticism that this has generated for the Government, YPF issued a press release in which it details that it will reinforce its offer to address the situation.
In the first instance, the oil company indicated that “the supply of diesel oil in the domestic market is a priority”, and that in turn it makes its “maximum effort” to meet the current demand, on which YPF He stressed that it is the highest in the last 10 years.
Therefore, due to the insistent request of the carriers, who denounced that in seven provinces the levels of shortages are in the red, YPF announced that it will be in charge of providing solutions in each of the areas of the country where fuel is lacking.
“YPF closely follows the evolution of the diesel supply and is working with each of the provinces to be able to solve the specific problems that are being generated and be able to reach every point in the country with their fuels”.
Along the same lines, the company explained that in recent months it has made a great effort to meet the growing demand, on which it pointed out that “in April, the diesel market registered the highest level in history, with a volume higher in 15.1%”.
This meant a growth of 3.2% in relation to March, on which the company contributed 82% of the volume to cover the demand, which also occurred during the month of May.
Thus, the company plans to increase its supply to solve the problem of shortages in the country, since this affects most economic sectors.
