The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela thanked this Wednesday, through an act of recognition, Russia for its cooperation in favor of children in the country with the projects of the United Nations Fund (Unicef).
The information was released by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Carlos Faría, who, through his account on the social network Twitter, also indicated that this act was carried out on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“We express our gratitude on behalf of the Venezuelan people, the mothers and children who have benefited from this cooperation agreement,” Faría said.
The act of recognition was held at the Casa Amarilla, headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, in Caracas, as part of International Children’s Day.
The Russian ambassador to the country, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, detailed, on the Twitter account of the Russian Embassy in Venezuela, that his nation has contributed more than 1,500,000 dollars through projects carried out by Unicef, “a in order to improve nutrition and medical access for children and mothers”.
