During the holiday weekend From May 28 to 30, according to the Traffic and Transportation Directorate of the National Police, 2,594,464 vehicles were mobilized through the various highways of the country (toll pass). In Bogotá, 504,243 vehicles were mobilized and in Cundinamarca 877,455 vehicles.

Also, “In the balance of this Ascension Day festive bridge, zero deaths were recorded due to drunkenness and unfortunately 46 people lost their lives in accidents. For this reason, we will continue working to reach zero deaths from road accidents, and we ask Colombians to accompany us in this task, always driving with prudence, responsibility and sanity, so that together we can save more lives on the roads. We do road safety together, and every contribution helps”, indicated the Minister of Transport, Ángela María Orozco.

For his part, Major General Juan Alberto Libreros, director of National Police Transit and Transportation, highlighted the good behavior of Colombians. “However, we make a call to comply with the traffic regulations, the most sanctioned infractions during this festive bridge were: driving motorcycles without observing the regulations, not carrying a driving license and not having the mechanical technical review.”.
Secondly, Civil Aeronautics reported that for the various airports of the country mobilized 587,176 passengers, of which 399,494 made national trips and 187,682 international.
