From the spaces of the auditorium of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), in Caracas, the discussion “A look towards the future” was held for the International Day of Women in the maritime sector.
The date was set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), to be held on May 18 of each year.
In the discussion, Draiza Medina, the first woman scuba diver in Venezuela and Latin America, and head of the Communications Committee of the MAMLa Network, acted as moderator of the event.
The activity was attended by the institution’s authorities, who highlighted the role of women in the development of the sector, INEA reported in a press release.
