The Republic had access to the document that was sent to the head of state, which details the issues to be discussed at the meeting called by the American president.
“It is a pleasure for me to invite you to Los Angeles, California, from June 8 to 10, 2022, for the Ninth Summit of the Americas, where the democratically elected Heads of State and Government of the hemisphere will promote our shared goal to “Build a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future” for our hemisphere,” says the official letter.
Joe Biden adds that the meeting will discuss the commitments assumed as a region such as “economic prosperity, security, human rights and dignity for the peoples of the Western Hemisphere.” Likewise, he stated that the challenges and opportunities regarding climate change, equitable recovery and health security will be faced.
“I am confident that this Ninth Summit of the Americas will serve as an opportunity to advance on the greatest challenges in our region and work together towards our shared goals.
