Social and peasant organizations perform in front of the National Congress a protest with a new “green”in claim of the regulation of the Family Farming Law and for the “application of policies” to strengthen regional economies, among other demands.
This was reported to Télam by spokespersons for the organizations, who detailed that the protest takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., under the motto “We are not the problem, we are part of the solution”.
“The family farming fair has been installed in front of Congress with a new ‘vegetable'”told this agency references of the Dignity Popular Movement and the Federation of Family Farming Organizations.
Among the wide range of claims in the sector are the “regularization of ownership of the land, hiring surveyors, to start surveys where there are no legal conflicts; the recovery of machinery that has problems and cannot be used for lack of financing and the regulation of the Council of Family Agriculture Campesino Indígena”.
The organizations also demand the regulation of Law 27,118 on Family Farming, the “continuity of the works to provide drinking water in the interior of the country, among other demands.
Also, they promote the application of a National Program of Nearby Food Markets and the incorporation of the Federation of Family Farming Organizations to the National Council of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA).
