After controversy, Centro Democrático reveals results of internal polls

After the choice of Oscar Iván Zuluaga as presidential candidate for the Democratic Center generated a storm in the party awnings, this Saturday that community released the results of the polls made by the firms Yanhas and the Consulting Center that gave the former Minister of Finance as the winner.

In the middle of the ‘National Convention’ event cited by that party, it was announced that the Tempo business firm audited the surveys, resulting in that 95% of the information reviewed coincides with that reported by the two firms.

Previously, Óscar Iván Zuluaga assured that It was a transparent, safe process and now what you have to do is look forward and continue with the tour of “I’m all ears”, unite the party and unite the Colombians.

In the polls revealed Zuluaga is the winner with 43% followed by María Fernanda Cabal with 22%, Paloma Valencia with 13%, Alirio Barrera with 12% and finally Rafael Nieto with 11%.

Faced with the division or fractures that the community presents, Alirio Barrera assured that the party is capable of solving them along with all the concerns that have been raised.

He added that he is calm with the results and that there can be no such “Nonconformity or doubts in any of the candidates or in the militants”.

“Even in the best families there are divisions. So I think it is normal for there to be discussions or differences, we must now work for unity,” said Alirio.

For its part, Rafael Nieto stated that the process was transparent and gave all the guarantees and that the division that many voices speak or allege does not exist.

This Saturday at the National Convention the Democratic Center presented Óscar Iván Zuluaga as his official candidate for the presidency of the Republic.
