According to the formal accusation presented by the prosecutors assigned to the case, the soldiers who must appear this Tuesday are Pablo Guevara (military aviator), who is already in preventive detention in the San Pedro de La Paz prison, for the ‘Senkata’ case.
Admiral Aldo Bravo Méndez, also with preventive detention in the Mocoví prison (Beni); Moisés Orlando Heredia, military official in active reserve, preventively detained in the San Pedro La Paz prison; General Iván Patricio Inchauste Rioja (active reserve), preventively detained in the San Pedro La Paz prison; Colonel Óscar Armando Caba Hurtado; and the military instructor Boris Cristian Pastor Paz; all prosecuted for the ‘Senkata’ case.
After the development of the precautionary hearing, the prosecutors commission will present the formal accusation, said the departmental prosecutor of Cochabamba, Nuria Gonzales.
Gonzales spoke of compliance with the “procedural deadlines” for the presentation of the formal accusation. Although the human rights activist from El Alto, David Inca, recalled that the case still has to be aired in the internal courts of the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, the Public Ministry has been developing the annotation of assets of the police, military and former authorities investigated in this case. The victims mentioned that the objective is to guarantee compensation for damages for the dead and wounded.
General Alfredo Cuéllar’s lawyer explained that The Prosecutor’s Office tries to affect the assets of those involvedbut due to the cancellation of a percentage to Real Rights, the annotation of assets of some defendants would have been paralyzed.
“Hopefully this case will be closed soon, there are not enough elements to face an accusationIt is a political case that does not have a legal basis”, said Omar Durán.
