The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained a couple who was trying to throw two drug pans towards the facilities of the Fénix Penitentiary Community, located in Uribana (Lara), according to military sources.
Upon observing the situation, the soldiers arrested Jósber Leonida Gutiérrez Pargas and Yamileth del Carmen Tarazona Freitez. These people arrived in a Chevrolet Corsa, license plate KBC04E, which was retained.
They also seized the portions of drugs that they were about to throw into the aforementioned prison: one marijuana panela (500 grams) and two cocaine wrappers (426 grams), the source explained.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry where they will be prosecuted for illicit drug trafficking.
