The Special Monitoring Center (CEMI), so far this year, has registered 514 reports and queries about inconveniences in the real estate sector, reported the Indecopias the governing body of the National Integrated Consumer Protection System.
According to Indecopi, the main drawbacks would be related to the following cases:

- Non-reimbursement of season tickets (132)
- Non-delivery of the property (78)
- Property defects (63)
- Inadequate staff attention (11)
In addition, he indicated that the most reported companies this year at the national level are: Los Portales SA (53 reports and inquiries); Los Altos de Castilla SAC (22) and Viva Negocios Inmobiliario SA (18).
Real estate sanctions
From January 2019 to April 2022, the decision-making bodies of Indecopi have imposed 1,589 sanctions and approximately S/ 21,286,830 (4,956.4 UIT) in fines on suppliers in this sector, with the most sanctioned company in this period being Constructora e Inmobiliaria Rato, with 38 penalties and 1,428.8 UIT in fines, amounting to approximately S/ 6,139,730.
This is followed by the company Los Portales SA with 32 sanctions and 55.2 UIT in fines; Reedbay del Perú SAC with 30 sanctions and 13.1 UIT in fines; Braconi SAC with 27 sanctions and 18.6 UIT in fines; and RB Edificaciones SAC with 26 sanctions and 70.6 UIT in fines.
