Salyn Buzarquis, a national senator for the PLRA, once again questioned the composition of the shortlist of candidates for the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE).
Using his social networks, he compared the designation of the shortlists with the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores to demonstrate the irregularities with a soccer example.
“Even in soccer, the top scorers compete with the second scorers. In the Judicial Council; not. The top scorers compete against each other as a punishment for ranking first. The punctuated seconds are rewarded for coming out second and compete with each other. Total manipulation,” she questioned.
The two lists of candidates will be presented this Monday in the Senate at 10:30 in the morning. They were convened by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs. At the end of the meeting, said commission will issue an opinion in favor of one candidate per list.
The shortlist one is made up of Emilio Camacho, César Rossel and Édgar Urbieta. While the shortlist two is made up of Myriam Cristaldo, Jorge Bogarín and Gustavo López Benítez.
