Real Madrid of Spain, in search of its 14th. consecration, and Liverpool of England, excited about its seventh title, will play this Saturday the fantastic final of the UEFA Champions League in a suitable setting, the magnificent Stade de France in Paris, in France.
The defining match will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Argentina, will be televised by ESPN and Star+, and will be refereed by Frenchman Clément Turpin, 39, an international referee since 2010, who will direct his first UEFA Champions League final (UCL), after acting as the fourth official in which the same protagonists played in kyiv 2018.
Turpin’s assistants will be Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore, the fourth referee Benoit Bastien and the VAR will be in charge of Jérome Brisard, who will have as assistants Willy Delajod (all French) and the Italians Massimiliano Irrati and Filippo Meli.
This will be the sixth time that the definition of the most important tournament in the world takes place in the French capital after 1956 (Real Madrid champion), 1975 (Bayern Munich), 1981 (Liverpool), all in Parque de los Príncipes, 2000 (Real Madrid ) and 2006 (Barcelona), at Stade de France.
This time the beautiful context of the stadium located in the popular and multi-ethnic Parisian suburb of Saint-Dennis will have a final with notable protagonists, who want the crown that now belongs to English Chelsea.

Real Madrid, with the Italian Carlos Ancelotti, winner of two UCLs with Milan and others with Real in 2014, and Liverpool with the German Jurgen Klopp, who won this tournament precisely with the British three years ago, promise technique, emotion and hierarchy at a level that only this definition can offer.
Madrid showed signs that it is different from the rest. It offers a plus associated with mysticism and epicness, as happened in the round of 16 with PSG led by Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbbapé when they lost 0-2 on aggregate and in 17 minutes, with a great Karim Benzema, they won 3-2 . Or also in the semifinals against Manchester City, which went from an aggregate of 3-5 at 90 minutes of revenge even 6-5 in favor in extra time.
But this does not mean that we have to place the badge of the Royal champion on the trophy, since in front will be the team that for many is the best team in the world and that this year has already won the English League and FA Cups and lost just by the Premier one point against Josep Guardiola’s City.
The “Reeds” of Anfield are pure vertigo, verticality, ambition and unlimited voracity in search of victory in each presentation.
The names that will be on the immaculate Parisian lawn are exciting: it is enough to mention the Frenchman Benzema, perhaps the best in the world today, the Croatian Luka Modric, the Brazilians Vinicus and Rodrigo, the German Toni Kroos or the Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtos on the side of the Real Madrid, or the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Dutch Virgil Van Dijk, the Portuguese Diogo Jota, the Senegalese Sadio Mané in Liverpool. They alone justify the onerous cost of a ticket to the Stade de France (700 euros the most expensive).
The champion, in addition to the glory of being crowned King of Europe, will pocket 20 million euros. Both Liverpool and Real Madrid have already received 15.5 million for playing in the final and if they win it they will add an extra 4.5 million.
Both defined the crown of continental football twice. In 1980/81, in dispute over the old Champions Cup, the English won 1-0 in Paris, and in the second, and Champions League, Real won 3-1 in kyiv, achieving for the first time in this format a three-time championship
In this campaign both played 12 games: the Spanish have eight wins and four losses (28 goals for and 14 against) and the English, 10 wins, one draw and one loss, with 30 celebrations and 13 goals conceded.
