12 thousand Trujillo women were registered in the Congress of Women

With the motto “From March to May with the face of a working woman”, this Thursday the closing of the III Venezuelan Congress of Women, Trujillo Chapter, took place.

The event was attended by the Minister for Women, Diva Guzmán; Governor Gerardo Marquez; the first combatant Reyna de Márquez; representatives of different national and regional organizations, as well as the protagonists of this meeting.

From the headquarters of the Simón Rodríguez National Experimental University (Unesr), located in the La Beatriz parish of the Valera municipality, Minister Guzmán promoted the 3R.NETS and the 1×10 of Good Government, as is being done in all country states.

During the activity, he recalled that the objective of this meeting is to build a new way of governing as requested by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

Guzmán added that through this congress the organization of Venezuelan women is consolidated. In this sense, she congratulated the women from Trujillo who have heeded the call of the revolution to become the vanguard of good government.

More than 12 thousand Trujillo women registered in the women’s congress

For her part, the regional director of the Ministry of Women, Rafina Montilla highlighted the participation of popular power, women’s movements and organizations, which since March have accompanied the registration and generation of proposals.

“We have 12,680 women registered in the system of the third Venezuelan congress, we continue to register in the 20 municipalities of the Trujillo state. In addition, we have held assemblies with the 21 women’s movements, where they have generated their proposals and have been spokespersons for this record that will be kept throughout the month”, she explained.

In this sense, Eduviges Torres from Trujillo indicated that within the framework of this third congress, “we must enhance the leading role of us women in each of the economic, social and political aspects.”

He affirmed that women are the engine to boost the country’s economy, through agriculture, productive patios and, above all, entrepreneurship from home and other spaces.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the elderly sector, Nuvia Uribe, stated that with the application of Resistance, Rebirth and Revolution, as well as the 1×10 of Good Government, the quality of life of women will improve.

“Today the older adult sector is accompanying national, regional and municipal policies in order to improve the quality of life of women. From these work tables we are applying the 3R.NETS for the benefit of all », she pointed out.

The governor of the state of Trujillo Gerardo Márquez indicated that around 300 proposals have been debated by the women of Trujillo in 20 assemblies.

Through his Instagram user, the regional president stated that “without a doubt, from Trujillo we say: Women are and will always be the strength of the Revolution!”

The Trujillo State Women’s Institute (Imet) also reported on its Instagram account that this meeting was held in the entity to ensure the rights and projects that benefit women in the country.

It should be noted that the women from Trujillo who participated in the work tables, in the plenary sessions and in the exchange of proposals were pleased to be part of the construction of the feminist political agenda, which will soon be presented to the national president Nicolás Maduro.
