“This is the second consecutive monthly decline and the sixth in 9 months; with this, a clear downward trend is shown in 2021 “, said Julio Santaella, president of Inegi, recalling that, in August, the IGAE’s decrease was 1.6%
With this setback, the full economic recovery of Mexico, after the outbreak of the pandemic, will take more months to arrive, according to Janneth Quiroz, deputy director of Economic Analysis at Grupo Monex.
??Economic activity is not only losing dynamism, but, for the second consecutive month, it is going backwards. With this, the time it will take to recover the ground lost by the pandemic will extend for several more months, or years? ? https://t.co/bAWnobGOoF
