The Traffic and Transportation Section of the Police in Tolima reported that progressively Mobility has been normalizing on the Ibagué – Cajamarca roada corridor that was completely closed for three days as a result of the sinking of the asphalt layer at kilometer 63, in the Curalito sector.
In the last hours, the passage to a lane in the contingency zone was enabled again. Over there, a traffic management plan was implemented to guarantee the circulation of motor vehicles in both directions, towards Tolima and towards Quindío.

Major Nayibe Díaz, head of the Sectional, indicated that for now there has been a low vehicular flow and the cars have been evacuatedespecially those of cargo, which were dammed.
“We have two stop and go, one is in the Cajamarca – Ibagué direction at kilometer 63 and another in the Ibagué – Cajamarca direction, at kilometer 63 plus 700 meters. We are taking alternate steps every hour in each direction of the road, so far mobility has behaved well and there is little vehicular flow,” said Mayor Díaz.
Once the road to Alto de La Línea was opened, it also began to normalize. traffic in the corridor Ibagué – Mariquita – Fresno – Alto de Letras – Manizaleswhich was used as an alternate route during the shutdown.
“Mobility along this section of road to the north of the department is already completely normalized, we are carrying out a traffic management and vehicle evacuation plan who were in the department of Caldas. There is nothing new,” he added.
