Representatives of the Public Ministry and agents of the Division of Investigation of High Complexity Crimes (Diviac) intervened the former municipal worker Roger Chipiama Diaz (59) involved in an alleged collection of money from Jorge Muñoz, former mayor of Limato revoke the decision of its vacancy before the National Elections Jury (JNE).
The intervention was recorded at averaging 5:00 in the morning of this Thursday, May 26. The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Corruption Crimes of Officials, in the framework of the investigation for the alleged crime of influence peddling, proceeded to intervene the homes of Roger Chipiama, located in the district of San Isidro and Magdalena del Mar.
According to the investigation that La República accessed, the former municipal worker would have communicated with the environment of the former mayor of Lima to request an amount of 170,000 soles in order to reverse the vacancy resolution issued by the JNE against Munoz Wells.

In the details of the investigation, Roger Chipiama mentions the citizen Johan Ramírez as the brother of one of the members that make up the JNE, the latter would be in charge of benefiting Muñoz if the large sum of money was delivered.
Detention
Roger Chipiama’s arrest was recorded this Thursday at the San Isidro home. The staff of the Public Ministry seized material related to the investigation. The former municipal worker will continue as a detainee for the duration of the preliminary process, according to tax information.
