The world should do something to try to stop “the daily massacre” in the United States, said Tuesday the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello.
“The world should, I don’t know, do something, right? To try to stop this daily massacre in the United States. More than 200 shootings have occurred in the United States, the last one very unfortunate. There are 21 deceased », he said during the broadcast of the program Con el Mazo Dando.
Cabello thus referred to the most recent shooting recorded at a school in Uvalde, Texas, which left a balance of approximately 19 children and two teachers killed when a teenager named Salvador Ramos walked into elementary school with a pistol and a rifle.
The first vice president of the PSUV affirmed that “it is very easy to blame the murderer”, but -he said- it is not him but “the North American system”.
“It is terrible what is happening in the United States, they give more importance to a weapon of war. They say there are 120 guns for every 100 people,” he added.
In his opinion, American citizens resort to local shootings because of the example that the Government has given.
«They see, the common citizen, how (the United States) solves problems is by shooting around the world, by bombings, and they want to solve their problem, domestically, also by shooting, because that is what their ‘pope State’ has taught,” he added.
Last week also saw a shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, when a supremacist assailant killed 10 black people.
