The Dominican Association of Companies of the Fuel Industry (ADEIC) cited the importance of continuing to promote public-private alliances that allow the development of public policy strategies to regulate the hydrocarbon sector with regulations that contribute to the modernity of the system by strengthening the safety and quality of its products.
These statements were offered during the third meeting with partners and related parties, held with the participation of Ramón Pérez Fermín, Vice Minister of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) and Eduardo Julia Mera, Vice Minister of Environmental Management of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources, who presented topics on the vision and projections of the regulation of the hydrocarbons sector.
Miguel René de la Cruz, president of ADEIC, stated that it is essential to consolidate a regulatory framework for the hydrocarbon sector to guarantee compliance with regulations and adapt to new trends that allow increasing competitiveness and contributing to national economic growth.
He highlighted the actions and initiatives that the current authorities have implemented that contribute to continue promoting the hydrocarbon sector, and thanked the MICM and Mimarena for the participation in these types of events that serve for dialogue and discussion of important issues for the economic development of the country. .
“From ADEIC we have been promoting a process through inter-institutional collaboration to adopt the best practices in the regulatory provisions of the sector to guarantee the supply on time and with the required quality” indicated de la Cruz. Vice Minister Pérez Fermín said that the role in history has been to continue being an entity attached to the law to grant equal treatment to all.
