An example of these projects is the Mata de Palma I Power Plantwhich began operations in 2019 and has 50 MW of installed capacity, as an asset of the company CMI – Multi Investment Corporationwhich is of foreign capital.
In addition, there are three other projects that already have the definitive concession for production solar energy. The project Energy Solar Park of the East, Cabreto Iwith a 50 MW capacity, located in the Enjuagador section, owned by the French multinational company Urbasolar.

Likewise, they have a concession Mata de Palma Park Washington Capital Solar Park IIof the company WCGF Solar SRL and the project Washington Capital Solar Park IIIof the company Renewable Energy BASSRL Both projects will be able to produce more than 100 MW of photovoltaic solar energy and an investment of 110 million pesos between them is estimated, in the Mata de Palma section.
Other projects managed from the National Energy Commission (CNE), which are in the permitting phase, are: Las Parras (248MW with storage), owned by the Spanish company MEDCAP Caribbean Energy; mirasol (100MW), from the company AES Dominicana Renewable Energy, SRL; Solsticio Park (60MW), owned by Axis Solar and El Guincho Photovoltaic Park (86MW), owned by Aquo Power Sol, SAS, in the community of El Toro.

It is appropriate to point out that the construction of these solar parks will boost the local economy, since they will generate more than three thousand direct and indirect jobs in the next three years, a reality that makes the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra, in the province of Santo Domingo , in the largest producer of clean energy and its contribution to mitigating greenhouse gases.
