Of the deceased, 14 were elementary school students.
Fifteen people, 14 children and a teacher, were killed in a shooting Tuesday at a Texas elementary school, state Governor Greg Abbott said.
The assailant “horribly and incomprehensibly shot and killed 14 students and killed a teacher,” Abbott told a news conference.
He specified that the attacker, identified as local teenager Salvador Ramos, had also “passed away”, adding that “it is believed that the responding agents killed him”.
