The Minister of Sports, Fátima Morales, made the decision to resign from her position five months after the Odesur Asunción Games. A few days ago, it received recognition from the Executive Council of the APF, for its support for the development of Paraguayan soccer.
“I thank the Paraguayan Football Association for this distinction. This is a recognition of the joint work with the APF. I want to thank the entire Association for turning our country into a great sports territory,” Minister Morales remarked.
The president of the APF, Lic. Robert Harrison, presented a plaque and a medal of recognition to the Minister of Sports, Fátima Morales, and mentioned, “This strategic alliance with the National Secretary of Sports is key to promoting soccer throughout the national territory, through inter-institutional projects that aim to benefit the entire environment of this sport and face the challenges that arise daily, in order to provide joint responses in favor of the common objectives that both institutions have”, he said the holder of the APF during the act.
“I want to thank you on behalf of the Paraguayan Football Association for the tireless support you give us every day. And also thank you for all the support you give to each of our athletes in the different modalities. My recognition for the great work that has been done for our football”, added Harrison.
Both Morales and Harrison highlighted the projects promoted jointly, highlighting the Golazo Program, however today, Morales made the determination to step aside.
