Juan Antonio Enrique García confessed to having kidnapped and raped a 3-year-old girl. He was imprisoned in Challapalca, however, police personnel found him dead on Tuesday, May 24. He entered this penitentiary center on April 20 where he would spend 9 months in preventive detention.
The prosecution asked for life imprisonment.
After accepting that he kidnapped and abused a 3-year-old girl in Chiclayo. The Public Ministry reported that the prosecutor of the First Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Chiclayo, Gloria Samillán Vallejos, presented the accusation for the crime of sexual violation of a minor, requesting that Juan Antonio Enrique Garciaknown as the ‘Monster of the Sanctuary’, is punished with life imprisonment.
The magistrate took on this delicate case, after a court of José Leonardo Ortiz (JLO) approved transferring the file to the jurisdiction of Chiclayo. Samillán will no longer use the Gesell camera to obtain new evidence, since he considers that with what has been done there are sufficient means to achieve a conviction.
