Epidemiological report of covid-19: active cases drop to 17,310 and the Aysén region has the highest incidence rate of assets per 100,000 inhabitants

During this day, the Epidemiological Report 161 was released since the start of the pandemic in Chile. This revealed that active cases fell by just under 1,500 cases compared to the November 15 report.

According to data revealed by the Ministry of Health, in Chile there are 17,310 active cases of coronavirus and the Metropolitan Region remains the one with the highest number of active cases with 5,936, presenting a decrease of 1,594 cases. It is followed by the other metropolises in the country, Biobío with 2,349 and Valparaíso with 1,876 active cases.

Regarding the rate of assets per 100 thousand inhabitants per region, Aysén is in the first place with 300 cases, increasing by almost seven infected in relation to the previous report. They are followed by Atacama with 182.4 and Los Ríos with 147.8.

Regarding the incidence rate at the communal level, the five that lead the ranking are: Aysén (568.0), Colchane (442.2), Futaleufú (427.7), Vallenar (408.7) and Navidad ( 405.6). In the previous report, Futaleufú was the one who was in the first place.

While the 10 communes with the most active cases nationwide are: Puente Alto (441), Viña del Mar (437), Los Ángeles (437), Maipú (430), Santiago (416), Concepción (389), Valdivia ( 351), Osorno (341), Valparaíso (335), and Coquimbo (323).

Throughout the pandemic, 2,098,048 cases of Covid-19 have been presented in the country.
