Renovación Nacional (RN) announced that its president and senator, Francisco Chahuantested positive for Covid-19 during the course of this Monday.
Through a statement, the community indicated that the parliamentarian “has begun his quarantine in full compliance with current health regulations” as of 4:00 p.m. when the result of his examination was obtained.
Likewise, they specify that Chahuán has mild symptoms and will be in his residence for the period of isolation instructed by the health authority.
“Internal protocols have been activated, so that all officials and party leaders who were in contact with our president have been informed and put on alert, being sent home,” the text states.
In addition, they reported that “the Extended Political Commission scheduled for today at 6:00 p.m. will be carried out entirely online.”
To remember that before knowing the results of his exam, the RN helmsman gave a press conference, where he was without a mask.
