The Policeman de Durazno achieved the seizure of drugs and the arrest of two men after carrying out the anti-narcotics operation called “Ring”.
According to the Communications Unit of the Ministry of the Interior, it was an investigation and intelligence work carried out by the Departmental Anti-Drug Brigade and the Investigations Directorate of the Durazno Police Headquarters together with the prosecution of 1st turn.
The investigations made it possible to determine that narcotic substances were being sold in homes in the city. In this sense, with the information collected, the agents carried out three raids in which they arrested Marcio Damián Rodríguez Silva, 27, and Óscar Martín Gutiérrez González, 35; Both have criminal records.
In addition, as a result of the raids, the Police seized two stones of base paste weighing 11.11 grams; 14 doses of the same drug; seven cell phones and five radio communication equipment.
The offenders were placed at the disposal of the 4th Turn Legal Court, who formalized them. Both subjects were charged with a crime of drug possession not for consumption as perpetrators. For this fact, Rodríguez Silva must serve 6 months in prison, while Gutiérrez González was given a precautionary measure of 90 days in preventive detention while the investigations progress.
