Nevertheless, sources from the National Electoral Council (CNE) confirmed that the contract with this company has not yet been signed.

As it turned out, Until now, the electoral authorities are in the process of reviewing the documents presented by the Costa Rican firm, to determine whether or not it meets all the requirements to carry out this audit.
The contracting teams of the CNE and the National Registry of Civil Status are meeting evaluating the papers and verifying, above all, the experience of Datasys in the development of this type of surveillance of electoral processes.
The verification of these documents is what has delayed the entire audit contracting process that the Government endorsed, after the request made by various political sectors and the presidential campaigns.
This process will cost a little more than 3,000 million pesosresources that were appropriated and transferred by the Government to the electoral organization since the beginning of May.
According to Senator Cabal, Costa Rican engineer Dennis Cascante Hernández, who is part of the Datasys Group, was arrested in 2013 for alleged illicit enrichment for facts related to a technology company that had 18 contracts with the Electoral Tribunal of Costa Rica, an entity in which he worked, according to what he said.

In addition, the legislator of the Democratic Center denounced that Cascante was an advisor to the National Electoral Council of Honduras, at a time when the primary and general elections in that country were a failure. from the technological point of view.
It even mentions that the Datasys company has had links with Thomas Greg & Sons, which is the company that in recent decades has been awarded large contracts from the Registrar for the development of elections.
