In terms of security, Aguascalientes faces challenges both in the common jurisdiction, where theft in all its forms is the main crime that afflicts the entity with more than 11,000 complaints filed at the end of March 2021, according to updated figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP); as in the federal jurisdiction, where the consumption, possession and sale of drugs have had the highest number of complaints since 2012.
