Nashville SC and Real salt lake qualified for the conference semifinals (West) of the MLS by eliminating Orlando City SC and Seattle Sounders, Tuesday in the first round of the playoffs. Hany Mukhtar’s ‘double’ allowed Nashville to beat an Orlando 3-1 that had opened the scoring through US international Daryl Dike. He scored with a header off a corner in the 14th minute.

The German attacking midfielder tied first, with a shot deflected by defender Antonio Carlos (21 ‘), before giving his team the advantage after dodging several opposing players and placing an unstoppable cross shot from the left (74’). Venezuelan forward Jhonder Cádiz scored in second-half stoppage time, sealing the victory for Nashville, who will face Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

In Seattle, it was Salt Lake who gave the surprise by being stronger during the penalty shootout (6-5, 0-0 after overtime) to eliminate the Sounders. The Utah club will face Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference semifinals.
